Breaking Waves

Just take a breath, lean back, let go

The breaking waves you’ve yet to row

Will still be there, no matter when

You find the strength to row again

Recharge, refresh, revitalize

In doing so, you’ll realize

There’s too much weight in boat you paddle

Ignore fatigue? You’ll lose this battle

Instead slow down and take your time

Or ask for help, it isn’t crime

Admitting you can’t sail alone

Let others help you make it home

If you’re to navigate this life

Its lowest lows and highest heights

Set your limits, boundaries

Balance drudgery with ease

For waters calm as much as roil

They buoy as much as make you toil

Should aide take up the other oar

Assured you are to reach the shore!
