We’re heading into warmer times

A welcome change for northern climes

For outdoor fests, we’re on the brink

Which means we’ll need a sunny drink!

And something that will hit the spot

Sangria! Which I drink a lot

If not familiar, don’t you worry

I can teach you in a hurry

You need tart fruit and good red wine

Some sugar, cognac and you’ll find

A drink, refreshing and delicious

You taste the spirits and the citrus

Feel creative? Give it a shot

By adding berries or apricot

Some brandy, liqueur or vermouth

Served tall with ice, it goes down smooth…

Once summer hits, on deck I’ll see ya

With jug full-up of chilled sangria!!
